WILL THERE BE COMMUNION WHEN I VISIT?
We invite any baptized believer, in good standing with their home church, to participate with us.
Our practice is to protect the table by reminding those who intend to take communion to consider the solemn joy of the symbols of Jesus’ body and blood. In keeping with 1 Corinthians 11:27–29, we encourage believers to “examine themselves, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup” so as to partake in a worthy manner.
We regularly invite people to pray quietly with those they came with before the Pastor leads us to eat together. If you are not a believer, we ask that you not to take communion.
To serve communion, we pass plates through the sanctuary. You will stay seated and if you are not prepared to take communion, please pass the plate without taking the communion elements. You are welcome to stay quiet during this time or ask someone sitting near you to pray with you.
